Genital Area Bleaching

What is Genital Area Bleaching (Vulvar Bleaching)?

Aesthetic treatments applied to the genital area are becoming more popular day by day. Reducing the labia minora, plumping the labia majora and vaginal rejuvenation, as well as bleaching the dark skin in the genital area, that is, genital bleaching (vulvar bleaching) are among the frequently preferred applications in recent years.

Why Does the Genital Area Darken?

Due to the epilation methods applied to the genital area, the dark skin color under the hairy area has become more visible.

Genital darkening (darkening, hyperpigmentation) is the darkening of the skin around the anal and genital area in both women and men. Excessive hyperpigmentation of the skin, ie darkening of the skin color of the genital area, may occur due to aging, hormonal problems, vaginal infections, postpartum scar tissue development or genetic reasons. It is usually evident in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, or dark-skinned women.

Although various solutions have been proposed to solve the problem of dark pigmentation of the genital skin, none of these treatments gives a permanent and satisfactory result. Topical chemicals applied to the vulvar and anal area together have caused many skin problems and the results are temporary. Since the skin in this area is very sensitive, many complications can occur with the application of chemical agents. Therefore, the best and most advanced way to remove hyperpigmentation is laser application. In recent years, Vulvar / Anal bleaching technology with CO2 laser is preferred for lightening the skin color in the genital-anal area and for permanent results.

The darkening that occurs in the genital area is due to the high concentration of melanin under the epidermis in that area. Laser genital area whitening method is an application that depresses the melanin in the genital area skin by using Femilift Pixel CO2 laser , it is aimed to remove the dark layer in the epidermis. Laser-damaged melanin pigments are reabsorbed by the lymphatic system and fibroblasts regenerate collagen and elastin, improving the skin’s appearance and pores, giving the area a more youthful and harmonious appearance.

How is Genital Area Whitening Made with Laser?

Laser vagina whitening (Vulvar bleaching, genital-anal bleaching) is a non-invasive procedure that takes less than 1 hour. The duration and number of applications may vary from person to person, depending on the current skin color, desired skin tone and the body’s natural reaction to the laser. The average number of applications varies between 1-3. However, even after the first treatment, you will see an immediate difference in your skin tone and will lighten well with the next application.

Application

Since the laser genital area bleaching is a non-invasive and painless procedure, it is performed without general anesthesia and therefore does not require hospitalization.

First, an anesthetic cream is applied to the area to be treated or local anesthesia is applied. Then the latest technology Femilift Pixel CO2 laser is used to depigment the skin in the problem area. The application does not harm the skin, does not have any side effects on the vaginal area. The process generally takes 15-45 minutes. After the procedure, the area is moistened using specially formulated products.

How long does the recovery period take?

After treatment, some burning may be felt in the area but will subside after a few hours. It is recommended to enter sexual intercourse after 1 week. After the application, the patient can return to his usual normal life routine. It is important that you follow all procedures prescribed by your doctor. You can return to your work or daily life immediately after treatment. Healing may take 1 week, but the final result may take 6 weeks.

Results

Even in a single session, the results are permanent. The application can take between 15 and 45 minutes. Laser anal and vaginal bleaching is much safer, faster and simpler than whitening creams.

For best results, one should avoid sunbathing on the area without protection as this increases pigmentation. The use of tight clothing promotes chafing and the development of hyperpigmentation.

Who Cannot Do Genital/Anal Whitening with Laser?

Application is not preferred in people with lupus, psoriasis, herpes or genital warts. If you have such a problem, you should talk to your doctor and your treatment should be planned first. It is also not applied during pregnancy and lactation.

After Laser Genital Whitening Application

The genital area should be kept clean and dry for the first 2-4 days. During this time, pain relievers and antibiotics may be prescribed along with topical creams.

Tenderness and pain may persist until the end of the first week of treatment.

Care should be taken to ensure that the genital area is as clean and hygienic as possible in order to achieve a full recovery.

Moisten the genital area with natural creams, do not use scented products and drink plenty of water.

Wear silk or cotton underwear.

Results will be clear 6 weeks after treatment, much more satisfying than any bleach or whitening cream and definitely permanent.
